They make some of the fastest, most complex and critical chips that are used for running large data centers, for computing loads of data to make speedy-smart business decisions and to help drivers safely get from point A to point B in their self-driving automobiles. If there ever was a company that could challenge Apple to become the most admired business in the world, it would be Nvidia. I have written this before and it bears repeating, because long term investors in Nvidia need to stay focused on the forest and not the trees…. This is the future hardware growth engine for the company along with their metaverse and automobile software products. The next generation of Hopper CPUs and GPUs will launch in Q4.

Nvidia has decided to take all this financial pain (write-downs, charge-offs etc.) this quarter and perhaps some will hit next quarter. I don't believe any sector has been spared these pendulum swings. There are many aspects of our lives that are slowly returning to their norm after the global pandemic and the companies in our portfolios are facing similar resets in their business cycles.
